Funeral services for James Oliver Stovall, 36, of Houston, will be held Sunday afternoon in Hassell & Foster Chapel.
Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery. Complete arrangements will be announced later by Hassle & Foster.
Native of Salmon, Mr. Stovall was born May 26, 1926.
Before moving to Houston, he made his home in Palestine. He died suddenly at 5:30 a.m. today in his home, 1216 Freeport Street. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Naomi Thompson Stovall of Houston; a son, John Bryant Stovall of Palestine; three stepsons, Mickey Jones, Larry Jones, and Chris Gilmore, all of Houston; parents, the Rev. and Mrs. J. M. Stovall of Rt. 3, Palestine; two brothers, Hershel Stovall of Fresno, California and Edwin Lawrence Stovall of Montalba; four sisters, Mrs. Clifton Williams of Montalba, Mrs. Raymond Russell of Palestine, Mrs. Preston Morvant and Mrs. Don Armstrong, both of Buras, Louisiana. The body will be at Hassell & Foster.
