GLADEWATER - Services for Mrs. Emma Leathy Landers, 78, Route 1, Gladewater, are set for 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Malcolm Stone Funeral Home in Gladewater with the Rev. John Grimes and the Rev. Tim York officiating.

Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Smith County.

Mrs. Landers died Wednesday in a Gladewater hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 23, 1902, and was a lifelong resident of Smith County. She was preceded in death in March by her husband, Samuel Landers. She was a member of Joy Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Malcolm Landers, Lewis Landers and Oscar Landers, all of Gladewater; Billy Sam Landers of LaFayette, La., and William Lee Landers of Hughes Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Stickle and Mrs. Nellie Turner, both of Gladewater, and Mrs. Delores Boling of Wichita Falls; a brother, Elmer Ringer of Troup; 27 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sam Landers, Travis Landers, Mark Landers, Ronald Tucker, Mike Tucker and Chuck Tant.
