Howard C. Sharp, age 90, of Palestine, Texas died September 21, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. Burial in Palestine City Cemetery's Middle Section was under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. He was born June 8, 1918 in Crockett, Texas to Buster Sharp and Ruby Sharp Hearn. Mr. Sharp was a member of the Crockett Road Church of Christ. He was retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad where he worked as an engineer for 32 years. He was well known for caring for ill people. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing for his friends and relatives. Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Frances Judge Sharp, and Rosella Sharp; and daughter-in-law, Margie Sharp. He is survived by daughter, Irene Sharp McCalley of San Antonio; a son, Glenn Sharp of Palestine; five brothers, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
