Born February 24, 1938, in Crockett, TX, he was the son of the late Phines and Ruby (Luce) Hearn.
On February 2, 1963, he married Edith (Heffner) Hearn in San Antonio, TX. She survives.
Robert earned his Masters in Music Education from Sul Ross College in Texas. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years. Robert was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, and West Liberty Baptist Church. He enjoyed computers and music.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by three sons, Robert Hearn Jr., San Antonio, TX, William Hearn, DuBois, and Tim (Lisa) Hearn, Columbia, SC, two grandchildren, Angela Suratt and Esmeralda Hearn, and two great-grandchildren, Angel Hearn and Ashley Boss. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers, Ray, Happy, Dale, Leon, Edwin, Ken, and Bennie.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. from the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor Phil Colgan officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Interment will be in Luthersburg-Union Cemetery.
