Geneva Brown Denmark, 93, died Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Candler County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late W.L. Brown, Sr. and Tera Mercer Brown. She was born in Tattnall County and moved back to Cobbtown 22 years ago after living in Statesboro for many years. She attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville and retired from the Bulloch County Board of Education as a dietician.
Mrs. Denmark was a member of the Cobbtown Baptist Church and the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her daughter, Faye Parker of Cobbtown; two grandchildren, Phillip Parker of Cobbtown and Phyllis McKeever of St. Cloud, FL; two great grandchildren, James Phillip Parker of Cobbtown and Samantha Martinez of Glennville; two great great grandchildren, Zoey Parker and Shawn Martinez; six nieces and nephews, Judy Westbrook, Andy Perkins, David Perkins, Randy Lanier, Larry Lanier and Bootsie Swicord.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. K.C. Seabury officiating. Burial will be in the Sunlight Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Phillips, Keith Harvey, Larry Dean Collins, Andy Perkins, David Perkins and Buddy Collins.
Remembrances may be made to the Cobbtown Baptist Church Building Fund, POB 176, Cobbtown, GA 30420.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel is in charge of arrangments.
