Judge Gordon B. McGuire was a well-known Texas jurist. He was the first and only judge of the 106th judicial district. Judge McGuire was appointed to the bend in 1925 when the 106th Judicial District was created. He had served as district attorney in his district since 1918. As a prosecutor, he gained fame through his role in the trials in Seminole in 1923. He was a former resident of Haskell where he was an attorney. Survivors include his wife; one son; one daughter; one brother.
