Mrs Beckie Blair passed away Friday evening
after a lingering illness. She was one of
the earliest settlers of this place. Her
husband T.B. Blair, ran a store at one
time. Since the death of her husband, she
has lived at her home at the south side of
town, but when she was stricken with para-
lysis, she was removed to the home of her
son, Albert Allen, where she died.
Elder Bolman of Roodhouse, preached the
funeral sermon at the Christian Church,
and her remains laid to rest in the Green
Pond cemetery. She leaves three sons and
a host of friends.
