"Obituary
Angeline, daughter of Vincent and Patience Strader, was born in Coles county, Ill., January 1, 1874 (sic), died October 8, 1928, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 7 days. On September 10, 1863 she was united in marriage to Thomas P. Goodman. To this union seven children were born. William B. and Lucinda, dying in infancy and Nettie M., 33 years ago. The living children are: Mrs. Hannah Dallas of Pawnee, Okla., and Orvy, George and Daisy of the home address. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren besides many other relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
At an early age in life she was converted and united with the Christian church and for a number of years was a faithful attendant at Sunday school and church, but in later years she was unable to attend on account of sickness.
In November 1880, the family came to Missouri where they have all made their home with the exception of the daughter in Oklahoma.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. F. J. Yokley were held from the residence, September 9 and interment was in Flat Rock cemetery.
So with sad hearts we lay her down to rest, with our prayers.
"Thy will, oh Lord, not ours be done."
Rest, sweet rest, From which none ever wake to weep.
Peace, sweet peace, When aching hearts shall crease to grieve.
Joy, blest joy.
When all lifes sorrow o'er
To meet with those we love,
to part no more."
