Mrs. Henry Thayer, about 53, a long-time resident of Ruskin, took her own life by hanging at their home there at mid-afternoon Wednesday. She had been in poor health for many years. Mr. Thayer, who works nights at the Superior cement plant, was asleep in an upstainrs (sic) bedroom at the time. She was found in the basement following the discovery of a note on the kitchen table and Dr. Paul A. Reed of Deshler was summoned. Also surviving is a son, about 15.
