Ollie L. Smith, 93, of Fort Smith passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Howard Hill Assembly of God in Jenny Lind. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Johnson Smith, and four children, Margaret Smith, Carl Johnson, Peggy Kay Shigley and Patricia Ann Beebe.
She is survived by six sons, Bobby J. Smith of Spiro, Clarence Smith, John W. Smith Sr. and James C. Smith, all of Van Buren, Leon C. Smith of Fort Smith and Fred Beebe of Barling; one sister, Dellar Hall of Checotah, Okla.; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel of Greenwood with burial at Douglass Cemetery.
