August C Henze, a well known resident of this community, passed away Tuesday morning at his home after suffering for about a year from cancer of the face. Mr Henze had been troubled with eczema on the face for fifteen years and a year or so ago the development of cancer became apparent.
August Christ Henze was born north of State Center, on November 23, 1885. All of his life was spent in this community and he had been engaged in farming until last fall.
Mr Henze was unmarried, but is survived by four brothers and one sister. They are Edward, Albert and Henry A Henze and Mrs G B Riemenschneider of State Center and George Henze of Iona, Minnesota.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 from St Paul's Lutheran church, with Rev J G Oltman in charge. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery.
