"The following obituary is being republished to provide corrected information." IDA MAE BARRAND, 86, a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Renaissance Village. She was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Fort Wayne and retired from Wayne Knitting Mills. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Ashley of Fort Wayne, Marilyn Braun of Columbia City; sons, James (Linda) Seney, Dave Seney, both of Fort Wayne; granddaughter and caregiver, Cheri Alexander of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Tillie Stitz of Burbank, Calif., Marion Brown and Shirley Creason, both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Charlie (Helen) Angel and Donald (Irma) Angel, both of Fort Wayne, Jerry (Kay) Angel of Avilla, and Larry (Joyce) Angel of Aurora, Colo. She was preceded in death by first husband, Robert L. Seney, in 1952, and second husband, Eugene Barrand, in 1994; her parents, Thomas and Susie (Hammond) Angel; sister, Dorothy Cattin; brothers, Amsey Angel, Robert Angel, Thomas Angel, William Angel and Jack Angel. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Robert J. Farris officiating. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the American Heart Association.
