Larry Damon Shannon, age 69 of Cleveland, Missouri died Friday, September 19, 2008, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri as the result of a stroke. He was born April 16, 1939 to Glen Damon and Doris Mae Trued Shannon in Merwin, Missouri.
Larry served in the U.S. Army. He was formerly President of Citizens Bank and was currently serving as Chairman of the Board.
Larry is survived by his wife, Jean Shannon of the home; a son, Randy Shannon and wife Lisa of Drexel, Missouri; two daughters, Kelli Koberlein and husband Steve of Lawrence, Kansas and Angela Blume and husband Kevin of Louisburg, Kansas; two brothers, Dennis Shannon and wife Delores of Drexel, Missouri and C. J. Shannon and wife Teresa of Amsterdam, Missouri; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
