Tilly, William, died at 8 a.m., Friday, July 12, 1918, at his home, 507 Stephen avenue, at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 24 days. Surviving are his wife, Clara; three daughters, Mrs. Roy Waddell, Mrs. Percy Deardorff and Mrs. Ruth Loveless; three sons, W. C. Tilley, R. C. Tilley and H. H. Tilley; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Crowder, Mrs. John Sanders, Mrs. Elizabeth Sanders and Mrs. Elzoro Barnes, and one brother, Lazaraus Tilley.
The deceased has been a retired farmer for several years and has been suffering from illness the last twelve years. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the residence. Interment in Oak Ridge.

That William Tilley, 507 North Stephens avenue, who died at St. John's hospital Thursday afternoon from a gun shot wound self-inflicted shortly before noon of that day, shot himself with suicidal intent yesterday was the verdict by the jury at the inquest conducted by Coroner Walter. Tilley was sixty-six years old and had been unable to work for some months because of ill health. He left a note indicating that his ill-health was the motive. He was living with his son, Harry A. Tilley, a fireman on the Alton.
