According to Bob Saunders Contributor #47050203, she was born Judith E. DeLancey in Central City, Linn Co., IA. Her father was David D. DeLancey (#62810783) and her mother Mary Susan Lufkin. Her mother died in 1875, and Judith was adopted by George A. Lillie (source: U. S. Census, 1880, Linn Co., IA). Judith married under the name Dollie Ellen Lillie in 1893 (source: marriage record, Linn Co., IA).
Additionally, in the 1880 census, she's listed as Dollie ______, adopted daughter of Geo. E. Lillie. Apparently, her mother, Mary, died in 1875, and David gave up Dollie for adoption. She was married under the name Dollie Ellen Lillie in 1893 in Linn Co., IA. In the 1900 and 1910 census records, she's using the name Judith McLennan. It is unknown why she changed back from Dollie to Judith.
