HAMMOND -Virginia Lee Adcock, 63, of Hammond died 10:47 p.m. Sunday (July 9, 1995) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mount Zion, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials: Macon County Cancer Society or Hammond United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Adcock was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Decatur, the daughter of John L. and Vesta Carberry Hufford. She was a member of Hammond United Methodist Church. She married Lyle E. Adcock on Dec. 24, 1948. He died in 1987.
Surviving are her sons, David Adcock and wife Catherine of Atwood; Mark Adcock and wife Ruth of Hammond; mother, Vesta Tate of Mount Zion; brother, J. Roger Hufford and wife Donna of Decatur; sister, Rose Marie Morris and husband John of Decatur; maternal grandmother, Lillie Carberry of Decatur; grandchildren, Anna Lee Adcock, Melanie Adcock, Nicholas Adcock, John Adcock and Todd Adcock.
Her father and husband preceded her in death.
