Mrs. Georgianna Stephens, 93, of Madison Street, Franklin, VA passed August 27, 2008 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Henry Stephens; two sons, Roger W. Stephens, Harvey M. Stephens; one daughter, Marian S. Stokes. She is survived by two daughters, Mary E. Hilliard, Bertha S. Butts; four sons, Joe A. Stephens, James M. Stephens, Milton T. Stephens, Anthony T. Stephens; fifteen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
A homegoing service will be held Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 2:00 PM, New Piney Grove Baptist Church, Newsoms, VA. Pastor George Futrell will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. On day of service, her remains will be placed in church for viewing by 12:30 PM. A visitation service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM in the funeral home chapel.
