Alfred Byron Middleton

Alfred Byron Middleton, 92, retired Winona farmer, died Sunday night, Feb. 26, 1989, of heart failure at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. The World War I veteran was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Mississippi Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hildred Carver Middleton of Winona; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Earle Pittman of Winona; three sons, Dr. W.A. Middleton and Dan Middleton, both of Winona, and Harold Middleton of Benton; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were conducted from Philadelphia Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28. The Rev. Dr. Jerry Mixon and the Rev. Billy Little officiated. Burial was in Philadelphia Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Middleton, Curtis Middleton, Bill Middleton, Hal Middleton, Carl Middleton and Byron Middleton. Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
