Mrs. Willie Clytee Williams, 74, of Winona died Saturday, April 24, at the Winona Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She is the wife of the late Dudley Williams. She was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Pearl Salley.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ethel Middleton Salley of Alva, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Edna Carter of Dallas; three sons, Lloyd A. Peeples of Jackson, Dennis Peeples of Memphis, and Harvey Gene Peeples of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Mrs. W. E. Wood of Jackson; three brothers, Otis Salley of Alva, Travis Salley of Cleveland, and Paul Salley of Shelby, MS.; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, April 26 at the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Webster County at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Billy W. Little officiating. Burial was in the Philadelphia Cemetery. Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers were Butch Tindall, Carl Blaylock, Jerry Wood, Tom Salley, Bill Middleton, and Thomas Middleton.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. W. A. Middleton, Joe Hardin, Eugene Hathcock, Dan Middleton, and Ronald Salley.
