Hazel Alberta Crooks Knox was the youngest child of John Thomas Crooks and Harriet Josephine Fisher Crooks. She was born in Goldendale Washinton where she lived until her last year. Her siblings were Roy Everett, Carl Evan and Veral Irene Baker. Her grandfather was John Turley Crooks who helped write the Oregon constitution. Her great grandfather on her mothers side was the Rev. Ezra Fisher who came to Oregon with his family in 1845. Hazel was the mother of Geraldine Knox Eddy, and Hoyle Bert Knox. She was interested in family history and compiled a good deal of information that she shared with her grandchildren.
