Deborah K. Ballard, 51, of Cottage Avenue died at 12:38 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.

She worked at Onkyo of America for 11 years and was a member of Jewell Village Separate Baptist Church and ABATE of Indiana.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Allen Reeves officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11:30 a.m. until service time Friday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to Deborah K. Ballard Memorial Fund at Jackson County Bank, 400 Washington St., Columbus.

Mrs. Ballard was born in Columbus Feb. 9, 1949, the daughter of John Marshall of Columbus and Elizabeth Schroer Crouch of Edinburgh. She married Robert L. Ballard May 2, 1967. He survives.

Also surviving is a stepmother, Ruth Marshall; sons, Curtis A. Ballard of Columbus and Michael R. Ballard of Indianapolis; a daughter, Amy Shafer of Columbus; brothers, Mike Marshall of Franklin and Richard Marshall of Miami; sisters, Sue Bryant and Bethanne Crouch, both of Edinburgh and Joyce Frame of Columbus; grandchildren, Paige and Christian Ballard and Adam, Noah and Molly Kay Shafer, all of Columbus.

The funeral for Deborah K. Ballard, 51, of Cottage Avenue was Friday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Reeves officiating. Special remarks were given by Curtis and Michael Ballard and Amy Shafer.

Entombment was at Garland Brook Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Jon Riley, Carey Weddle, Kye Denney, Charlie Kinman, Chris Cohoe, Zak Shafer, John Ballard, and Eric and Todd Marshall.

Mrs. Ballard died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
