Howard married 1st on June 24, 1915 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas to Blance Ada Childe. She died in Sept. 1928, they did not have any children.

He married 2nd Sept 18, 1929 in Carroll Co., Arkansas to widow Mary E. "Mollie" (Lawless) Hitchings who had 2 sons John and Owen Hitchings.

Howard did not have any children of his own.

Funeral services for Howard E. Kohn, 78, Belle Plaine, Kansas real estate agent, were held at 9:30 a.m. at Hatfield Funeral Chapel, Benjamin Sage officiated at the services. Burial was in Belle Plaine Cemetery with Masonic graveside services.
Alice Hunt sang "No One Cares for me like Jesus" and "The Love of Jesus ". Betty Patrick served as organist.
Pallbearers included Ed Hall, August Plagge, Warren Hunt, Jess McFarland, Sam Barner and Ted Wight.
Kohn was born Sept. 21, 1887 at Seneca, Nemaha Co., Kansas, the son of Lewis and Sarah Kohn. He died Monday at his home.
He was a member of Belle Plaine Masonic Lodge No. 173 and Order of Eastern Star.
He is survived by his widow, Molly, and three sisters, Mrs May Hazelbaker, Blue Mound, Kansas, Mrs. Gladys Isles, Kansas City, Kansas and Mrs. Emma Haverstock, Wellington, Kansas.

Belle Plaine, Kansas - Howard E. Kohn, 78, Belle Plaine real estate agent, died Monday. He was born Sept 21, 1887 at Seneca, Kansas and had owned a real estate agency in Belle Plaine. He was a member of the Belle Plaine Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include his widow, Molly; and three sisters, Mrs. May Hazelbaker, Blue Mound, Kansas; Mrs. Gladys Isles, Kansas City, Kansas: and Mrs. Emma Haverstock, Wellington, Kansas.
Services will be at 9:30 am Wednesday at Hatfield Funeral Home, Belle Plaine, Kansas. The Rev. Benjamin Sage will officate. Buriak will be in Belle Plaine Cemetery.
