Services for Aubrey "Jack" Sargent of 234 East Edwin Circle, who died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday at Methodist Hospital after a heart attack, will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park. He was 54. Mr. Sargent, who had been ill for about three months, was born in Paducah, Ky., and came to Memphis from there in 1929. He had been in the service station business since 1942. He formerly owned three service stations and sold two of them when he became ill. He currently owned the station at 1637 Getwell. He had been a bookkeeper for American Snuff Co. from about 1930 to 1942. He was a Baptist. He was a boating enthusiast and owned a cabin cruiser on the Mississippi River. On different occasions he had searched for and rescued persons who were lost on the river. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Frances Sargent; his son, James A. Sargent of 2177 Gayle Drive; his mother, Mrs. Bessie Sargent of the East Edwin Circle address; his sister, Mrs. Earl Corbett of 1481 Linden, and four grandchildren.
