Betty L. Summan, 80, of Vevay, formerly of Connersville, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at Heritage House Nursing Home in Connersville.
She was born June 3, 1928, in Logansport, the daughter of Delva and Leona Cullins Good. She was employed for 44 years at Stant Manufacturing Inc., retiring in 1990. After she retired, she and her husband moved to their summer riverfront home in Vevay and their winter home in Sarasota, Fla. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing card games.
She is survived by one daughter, Mardee Blommel of Connersville; four sisters, Donna Lennard of Chula Vista, Calif., Jo Ann Childers of Vevay, Judy Calahan of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Jackie Strohmier of Vevay; one brother, Dane R. Good of Connserville; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Summan, whom she married May 24, 1947; her parents; one sister, Virginia Hamilton; and three brothers, Gene Good, Paul Good and Jim Good.
The funeral was at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, 1704 N. Grand Ave., Connersville. Burial was in Dale Cemetery.
