Delva L. Good, 72, 721 West Twenty-second St., died Sunday at his home. He had resided here since 1919 and was a native of Pulaski County. He had been a guard at the State Highway Department at Centerville until retiring in 1965. He then assisted Mrs. Good, supervisor of the dining room at the Young Men's Christian Association, until her death in May when he became supervisor. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Jack Hamilton, Mrs. Russell Summan and Mrs. James Hamilton, all of Connersville, Mrs. Chester Childers of St. Paul, Mrs. Joseph Strohmier of Indianapolis and Mrs. George Leonard of Chula Vista, Calif.; four sons, Paul, Eugene, James and Dane, all of Connersville; two sisters, Miss Ura Good and Miss Lenora Good, both of Anderson; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Raymond P. Myers will officiate and burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
