In the 1970's she was a designer for "mod" blouses and dresses. Then she was contracted to design the uniforms for the Grand Funk Railroad band.

In 1977 she married the drummer, Don Brewer, and had a daughter, Logan, in May 1980. They divorced sometime in 1985.
