My grandfather, James Walter Brown, is buried next to Hattie, his second wife. She is the daughter of William Spikes and Urina Harriet Savannah Hanks. My grandfather and Hattie were married in Douglas, Arizona on 10 Oct 1929. After a year of marriage the couple died in a double suicide in San Angelo TX.

JOINT FUNERAL HELD FOR COUPLE AT DENTON
A joint funeral service for Mr. and Mrs. James Walter Brown, 62 and 41 respectivley, who were found dead in a hotel room at San Angelo Friday, were held here Monday morning. A bottle which had contained poison was found in the room where the couple died and the relatives said both Mr. and Mrs. Brown had been in ill health for some time. The bodies were sent here for burial from San Angelo. Mrs. Brown was born and reared in Denton County and is survived by her mother and two sisters, who live here, and three brothers.
