Royal H. Adams aged seventy-seven years died at the home of his son, James R. Adams, 1306 Pratt street, last evening at 7:40 o'clock. He is survived by three children, Roswell G. and Henry L. of Bedford, Ohio, and James R. of Elmira, NY, and Cassat R. of Wellsville, NY and one sister, Mrs. Cordelia L. Smith of Arcade, NY. The deceased had only been ill since Monday with pneumonia. The remains will be taken to Pike, where Mr. Adams formerly spent his summers, for interment.

Pike-The funeral of Royal H. Adams were held on Sunday last from the Presbyterian church in this place. Mr. Adams was one of nine children born to Abner Adams, an early pioneer of Pike. The father and mother have been dead many years. Royal had lived nearly all his life here, his wife who was Mandana Gibbs, died here and he lies beside her in Elmwood cemetery. Mr. Adams died at his son's in Elmira where he has spent his winters for several years. He was 77 years of age and succumbed to a severe attack of pneumonia, complicated with a weak heart, last Friday. He leaves three sons, two brothers, and one sister, besides a host of friends, to mourn his loss.
