Mrs. Retta Brown, 69, who passed away at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 1952, at her home 1 1/2 miles northeast of Mt. Pleasant, was a resident of Mt. Pleasant for fourteen years.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, three children, Mrs. Dorothy Kerr of Salem, Donald Brown and Rex Brown of Mt. Pleasant; a brother Sidney Smith of Salem; a sister Lucile Ruggels of Natoma, Kansas, and six grandchildren.
She was a member of the Friendly Neighbors and of the Cedar Creek Church.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Cookes-Lunning home. Herman Clark will officiate. Interment will be in the Cedar Creek Cemetery.
