Born Catharine White on 23 Mar 1766 at Salisbury, CT to Ruluff White and Maroche "Mary" Knickerbocker.

Catharine was married to Jonathan Greene (1760-?) of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, nephew of Revolutionary hero, Gen. Nathanael Greene. Jonathan came to Hinesburg in 1786 and there he and Catherine had 8 children.

Catharine is buried next to her daughter Mary Greene Isham(1787-1867), who was married to David Isham (1776-1853).
