Weatherford Democrat - "Alex Cooper Died of Heart Attack Friday Night - Alex. S. Cooper, age 83 died rather unexpectantly Friday night at his home in the Dennis Community, his death being a heart attack. he had previously been suffering from influenza, but was thought to be improving when he was suddenly stricken. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Buckner Baptist Church and was buried at the Buckner Cemetery. Rev. Charles T. Whaley, pastor of the Weatherford First Baptist Church, conducted the services. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and two daughters as follows: Claud Cooper who is in Cuba; Austin and Oscar at home; Miss Bernice Cooper of Weatherford and Miss Ila Mae Cooper at home. He is also survived by a brother, Sam Cooper of Dimmitt, Texas and one sister, Mrs. Eddie Stephens of Weatherford.Alex S. Cooper was the son of Samuel and Susan Jane Partin Cooper, who are buried in the City Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, Parker Co., Texas.
