Weatherford Democrat, February 8, 1924 - "Death of Frank Cooper - Frank Cooper, of Dimmitt, Castro County, age 39 years, died in a Plainview Sanatorium Sunday morning following an operation which he underwent on Sunday, January 27th. Mr. Cooper was born and reared in this County and lived here until his marriage about 15 years ago when he went to West Texas to live. He was the son of Sam Cooper, well-known citizen of Weatherford and Parker County. He was a man who was well liked and made friends readily wherever he went, being simple and unassuming in his habits. He is also described as a man of ideal family life, being always thoughtful and considerate as a son, brother, husband, and father. Since going to west Texas, Mr. Cooper had been engaged in farming and stock raising. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, as he was also of the Modern Woodmen of America. He is survived by his wife and six children, and four sisters and two brothers. The body was shipped to Weatherford by train, arriving on the Sunshine Special at 1:36 P.M. Monday. Funeral is at the Cooper home, 804 South Alamo, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock."
