Mission History: On June 19, 1944 took off from Hollandia Airfield on a mission against Waren Airfield. Over the target, hit by anti-aircraft fire over the target, the left engine was knocked out and the right engine damaged. Duval ditched into the sea four miles north of western end of Mios Noem Island (other sources state 20 miles from Moemi Airfield). Gunner Foxworth died in the crash and is listed as Missing In Action (MIA). Also lost was A-20G Havoc 42-86727 (two missing). Foxworth was officially declared dead the day of the mission. He is memorialized on the tablets of the missing at Manila American Cemetery. Foxworth also has a memorial marker at Bagdad Cemetery in Bagdad, FL at section 4.
