Paul Wilhelm Richtermeier, 64, was found dead Sunday a half-mile south of highway 10 on a county road two miles east of Eudora. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was found by a neighbor, Henry Kurtz.
The body was found about 9 am. Richtermeier was returning to his home after going for groceries at Eudora.
Unmarried, he had farmed in the community the past 51 years.
Survivors include two brothers, Louis and Reinhard Richtermeier, of Eudora; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Meuffels, Eudora and Mrs. Lena Koehler, Lawrence, Route 2; eight nieces and six nephews.
Funeral services were held from the Schubert Funeral Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock under the direction of the Rev. Joseph O. Polster of St. Pauls' Evangelical Church at Eudora. Burial was in the Eudora cemetery.
