Mrs. Anna Meuffels, 76, of Eudora, died Monday evening at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for three days. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Mrs. Meuffels was a member of St. Pauls's Evangelical and Reformed Church of Eudora. She lived most of her life in the Eudora area.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday at St. Paul's in Eudora, with Rev. Arthur Reiss in charge. Burial will be in the Eudora Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cooper-Watten Chapel until noon Thursday.
Casketbearers will be Charles Ralston, Bill Koehler, Kenneth Whaley, J.D. Brecheisen, Marvin Brecheisen and Dale Brecheisen.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ann Whaley and Mrs. Edith Brecheisen, both of Eudora and Mrs. Alice Buckner of Edmond, Oklahoma; three sons Walter and Herbert Meuffels, both of Eudora and Lewis Meuffels of 1406 Pennsylvania St; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Lena Koehler of Route 2.
