Doyle M. Brewer, 403 Royal Gorge Boulevard, Canon City, died Dec. 21, 1985 in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1935 in Woodbury, Ill. to Thomas B. and Wanda M. (Plummer) Brewer. He was 50 years old.
Mr. Brewer was a retired staff sergeant with the U.S. Army and a Protestant, as well as a member of the VFW.
He grew up in Illinois, before joining the Army for two tours in Vietnam. He retired in 1977 and moved to Fremont County in 1974.
He is survived by children: Debbie (Rick) Ulrich of Canon City; Doyle M. (Debbie) Brewer Jr. of Commerce City; Darla Brewer of Canon City; grandchildren: Michael Ulrich of Canon City; Doyle Brewer III of Commerce City; Brian Thomas Ulrich of Canon City; David Brewer of Commerce City; brother: Bill Brewer of Woodbury, Ill.; sister: Mildred Murphy of Casey, Ill.
Graveside services and interment with VFW flag folding will be held Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1985 at 10:30 a.m. in Lakeside Cemetery with Pastor Jim Thulson officiating.
