I, 177th Pennsylvania Infantry (aka "Drafted Militia"), and honorably discharged with his company August 7, 1863. He also enlisted in Harrisburg August 23, 1864, mustered into federal service there August 30 as a private with Co A, 208th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company June 1, 1865.
In 1890, he lived in Hubley Township, Schuylkill County, but died in Northumberland County.
