Leona Uhl Parrish, 86, of Homestead, Williamstown Route 1, died Tuesday evening in St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She was born in Oakgrove, a daughter of the late Charles M. and Dente Hazelrigg Uhl. She was a member of Sand Hill United Methodist Church and a 50-year member and past worthy matron of Williamstown Chapter 58 Order of Eastern Star. She was employed as a nurse’s aide at Marietta Memorial Hospital and as a clerk at the Williamstown Post Office until her retirement.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Bette) Kimble of Vienna; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ronald D. Uhl of Brittelsville, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald A. Parrish, in 1974; and five brothers.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Sand Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Timothy Conrad officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
