She found Christ as her savior at the age of 10, and was a lifelong member of Cassidy Methodist Church however, she attended church with her children at Mentor Baptist Church for the last 28 years of her life. She always remembered and would tell anyone of her experience with the Lord and her baptism in the creek in the winter. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant sister, Elena Ruth; and her husband.
