Edward G. Schuetz, 90, a retired farmer of the Powhattan area, died yesterday at a nursing home in Hiawatha where he had been a patient two years. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic church in Hiawatha with the Rev. Valerian Berger officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery at Mercier. The family rosary will be recited at 8 tonight in the Meek Mortuary in Hiawatha where the parish rosary will be recited at 8 tomorrow night. Mr. Schuetz was a lifelong resident of the Powhattan area. Surviving are five sons; Walter Schuetz, Victor Schuetz and Ralph Schuetz, all of Hiawatha, Floyd Schuetz, Mercier, and Howard Schuetz, Dodge City; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma McClaskey, Mercier, Mrs. Phyllis Sturm, Denton, Mrs. Wilma Winkelbauer, Horton, and Mrs. Patricia Christie, Topeka; four sisters; Mrs. Eva Hill and Mrs. Freda Morgan, Hope, Mrs. Julia Van Hole, Topeka, and Mrs. Marie Lawlor, state of California, 24 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
