Link was a farmer, and while putting hay in his hay loft on a hot July day, he failed to call down to his helper on the tractor when the hay was in the right position for dropping. When the helper called up to him to ask about dropping, he received no answer, so he climbed up and found Link had passed away, presumably of heat stroke.
