PARATROOP SHIP CRASHES; 20 DIE
Craft Plunges During Night Mission


Fort Benning, GA., Oct 23, 1943. Twenty officers and men were killed last night when an army transport plane crashed at Lawson Field here while on a night parachute mission, the public relations office announced today.

The dead included two officers and three enlisted men of the Army Air Corps and 15 enlisted men from the parachute troops here.
