Mulberry, Indiana January 4 – (Special) - Verna Engler, wife of Elmer Engler, died at the family home on Lafayette Rural Route 4, at 8 o'clock Saturday morning; death followed an illness of several years. The deceased was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Rudolph Bryan and was born in Clinton county on February 4, 1885. On February 18, 1903, she united in marriage with Elmer Engler, who survives together with the following, relatives; a son, Lorin Engler, of Indianapolis; one half-brother, Russell Bryan of Mulberry; six step-brothers, George, Eldo, Joseph, James and Elba Bryan, all of Mulberry, and Otis Bryan, of Lafayette. Funeral services will be conducted at the Fair Haven Luther church, of which she was a member, at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev I S Whitman in charge. Interment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery.
