Ralph W. Binion was born Dec. 2, 1918, in Lisbon, son of William and Edna Doyle Binion. He was a 1935 graduate of Lisbon High School. He served with the Army in the European theater during World War II.
He married Betty Jean Keator on July 16, 1946, at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Morley, with the Rev. Arthur Northrup officiating.
Mr. Binion was a mechanic at the Flack garage from 1946 to 1971. He later opened Ralph Binion Repair Shop and was self-employed until retiring this fall because of illness.
Mr. Binion was a past commander of American Legion Post 1342 and chaplain of St. Lawrence County American Legion. He was a volunteer member for 30 years and a past chief of the Lisbon Fire Department. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, bingo and reading.
