William Lang married Jincy Mize on 16 April 1818 in Clark county, Indiana. They were the parents of James, John, William, Samuel, Mary, Martha, Elijah, Mahala, Nancy, David, and George W. Lang.

In 1828 William Lang moved from Floyd co., Indiana to Fountain co., Indiana and located on the farm which consisted of 80 acres from the U S Government. At the time of his death he owned 295 acres. His daughter Nancy Lang who married Amos Sentman took over the farm after his death.
