Funeral services for Mrs. Erlene Wood Shook of Winona are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, at First Baptist Church in Winona, with interment following in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Rev. T. R. Darsey will officiate the services. Visitation will be Friday, August 29, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shook died of heart failure on Thursday, August 28, at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. She was 88 years old.
Mrs. Shook was the last suvivor of thirteen children born to the late Luke M. and Willie Wood. She was the widow of the late S. T. Shook, Jr. She was a homemaker, a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona.
Mrs. Shook was also preceded in death by a son, John Shook; and a grandson, Jacob Fowler.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice Shook of Pass Christian; her son, Sam Waldrup and his wife, Eva, of Heber Springs, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 408, Winona, MS 38967
