Bio -

Dessie was the third wife of Edward Boyd Booth (1859-1947). They were married on January 25, 1941 in Allen County, Indiana when Edward was 81 and Dessie was 79. Dessie had been married previously to Joseph Wolfe (1860-1932). Joseph and Dessie were married on February 6, 1881 in Adams County, Indiana. Dessie was the daughter of Noah Stalter and Ellen (Lehman) Stalter. Dessie was the mother of eleven children including: Viola, Charles, Florence, George, Emma, Ethel, Bertha June, William H., Dessie and Lloyd Wolfe.

Aged Resident Dies Early This Morning - Booth Funeral To Be Held Sunday
Mrs. A. D. Wolfe-Booth, 86, a resident of near Monroe practically her entire life, died at 6 o'clock this morning at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Booth suffered a fractured hip in a fall eight days ago, and death was attributed to complications following the injury.
She was born in Darke County, Ohio, March 12,1861 a daughter of Noah and Ellen Laman-Stalter. She was first married to Joseph Wolfe, who died July 13, 1932. She was then married to Edward Booth Jan. 25, 1940, and he died Oct. 19, 1947.
She was a member of the Christian Union Church at Honduras.
Surviving are the following children: Charles and George Wolfe, both of Fort Wayne, Mrs. E.O. Osterman of east of Decatur, Mrs. F. L. Johnston, Mrs. J. H. Andrews, and Mrs. Chester Howard, all of Decatur, Mrs. Frank Sanborn of Morenci, Michigan, William Wolfe of LaGrange and Lloyd Wolfe of Maybee, Mich.; 49 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren. One son and one daughter are deceased. Mrs. Booth was the last survivor a family of nine.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Monroe Methodist Church, with the Rev. W. L. Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Zion cemetery at Honduras. The body was removed to the Zwick Funeral Home.
