HAYS - Clement "Whitey' Jacobs, 68, died April 24. 1989, at Hadley Regional Medical Center Hays. Born July 5, 1920, at Pfeifer he married Irene Klein April 27 1949, at Pfeifer.

An oil field pumper and roustabout, he was a. lifetime resident of Hays. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church am the American Legion, both of Hays and Veterans of Foreign Wars Victoria. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors: wife, of the home sons, James, Kenneth and Leon, all of Hays; daughters, Becky Kuhn and Brenda Kitchen, both of Hays Debra Urban, Bison; brothers, Bill Pfeifer, Jerome, Great Bend; sisters, Pauline Bright, Hays, Mary Haberman and Rose Bahr, both of Olmitz; and 17 grandchildren.

Rosary will be 8 p.m. today a Hays Memorial Chapel. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, Father Carl Kramer. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. Friends may call from to 9 p.m. today at the funeral.
