Leola Jorgensen, age 85, of Lanesboro, Iowa, died August 14, 1991, at Shady Oaks Nursing Home, Lake City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held August 17, 1991, 10:30 a.m., at Community United Methodist Church at Lanesboro, Iowa. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Huffman Memorial Chapel in Lake City, Iowa.
Leola Martin, daughter of Walter and Etta Lawhead Martin, was born January 2, 1906, at Lake City, Iowa.
She was married to Ralph Lawrence Jorgensen on January 1, 1927, at the Lanesboro Methodist parsonage.
She was a resident of the Lanesboro area all her life, and a member of the Community United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Marion of Hampton, Iowa; three grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Leslie and Veronica of New York City, New York; Ray and Mary of Hampton, Iowa; Mark and Janet of Gurnee, Illinois; three great grandchildren, Gabriel, Beau, and Jullian; one sister-in-law, Ada Martin, as well as one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Etta Martin; a son Donald; husband, Ralph (who died in 1985); a brother, Robert Martin.
