"The people of our town were grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. D. R. Bonner which occurred at Moscow Monday."
Flora Gay Bonner died in April 1910, a few months after giving birth to twins, and a year after her husband died in April 1909 - leaving her children orphans. There was no one that could care for all of their children, so they were parceled out to different family members for several years until her oldest son, Reuel, gathered his siblings together and moved back into the family home.
